Dr. Nicole Wong-Homer

Pediatric Chiropractor

Dr. Nicole has always maintained an active lifestyle and grew up playing all types of sports including swim, lacrosse, and track and field. Her involvement in sports led her to consider a career in the health field.

Life Before Chiropractic

Dr. Nicole has always had an interest in health and considered several careers in the health industry including becoming a personal trainer or dentist. This led her to earn her degree in general biology and psychology at the University of California San Diego. As a lifelong athlete, it is no surprise that Dr. Nicole continued playing sports at the collegiate level. She played on the UCSD Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team and eventually captained the team her senior year. Although Dr. Nicole made many lifelong friends on the team, she says the most rewarding thing about being on the team was meeting her future wife, Dr. Rachel! After UCSD, Dr. Nicole did what many biology majors do in San Diego; she started her career in the biopharmaceutical industry.

The Big Switch!

Prior to Dr. Nicole’s career change, she lived life through an allopathic health model. So it is not surprising that when her wife considered seeing a chiropractor, she was skeptical. But being the supportive partner she is, she accompanied her wife and even became a patient herself when the chiropractor explained the importance of chiropractic to maintaining a healthy nervous system. Dr. Nicole experienced amazing results under chiropractic care, including disappearing menstrual pain, decreased illness and faster injury recovery time. Her results were so amazing that she decided to stop climbing the corporate ladder and go back to school to pursue a career in chiropractic! She knew that she had to dedicate her life to helping others find true health, as she had.

Dr. Nicole was valedictorian of her class at Life Chiropractic College West in addition to earning clinical honors and the prestigious Presidential Award. As many of the most important people in her life began having children during Dr. Nicole’s time in chiropractic college, her interest in what chiropractic could do for kids and pregnant moms grew. As she explored specializing in caring for these populations, she knew she had found her path. Even though chiropractic college brought her back to the Bay Area where she grew up, she knew San Diego was home. This is why she completed her clinical residency serving hundreds of San Diego families in a pediatrics and perinatal specialized practice. Dr. Nicole holds additional training in pediatrics and pregnancy through the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association, including being Webster Technique certified. She is also a Pediatric Experience doctor, committed to neurologically-focused Pediatric, Perinatal and Family Chiropractic.

San Diego Living

Dr. Nicole’s passion for chiropractic extends beyond the office and she believes we need more chiropractors in the world which is why she started Chiro AlignEd Learning with Dr. Rachel which helps chiropractic students pass their licensing board exams on their first try. Outside of the office, Dr. Nicole loves staying active outdoors with Dr. Rachel and their golden retriever, Mia. You can usually find her at a local disc golf course. She is an avid UFC fan, enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with friends and family.
